Glossary term: Andromeda

Description: Andromeda is a constellation and is best known as the location of the Andromeda galaxy. Its name comes from Greek mythology – Andromeda was the daughter of King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia and offered as sacrifice to the sea monster Cetus. She was saved by the hero Perseus who then married her.
