Description: লোহার উল্কাপিণ্ডসমূহতে প্রচুর লোহা আর নিকেলের আকরিক পাওয়া যায়।তাদেরকে গ্রহাণুগুলোর অংশ হিসেবে ধরা হয় এবং তারা আয়তনে অনেক ঘন আর ওজনে ভারী হয়।পৃথিবীতে আছড়ে উল্কাপিন্ডের প্রায় ৬০% উল্কাপিণ্ডই হলো লোহার তৈরি, যদিও তারা পৃথিবী পৃষ্ঠে আঘাতকারী উল্কাপিণ্ডদের মাত্র ৫% এর মতো। এর কারণ হলো তারা তুলনামূলক বেশি শক্তিশালী আর পাথরের উল্কাসমূহের মতো এত সহজে ভেঙে যায়না।
