Glossary term: Unidad Astronómica

Description: Una unidad astronómica (UA) es una unidad de distancia equivalente a 149,597,870.7 kilómetros (km) exactos. Esta es la distancia media entre la Tierra y el Sol, que era una definición anterior de la UA. La UA se utiliza a menudo para medir distancias en el Sistema Solar y en otros sistemas planetarios o estelares. Por ejemplo, Neptuno orbita a unas 30 UA del Sol.
