Description: L'espace extra-atmosphérique, souvent abrégé en "espace", est le terme qui désigne toutes les régions de notre univers qui se trouvent au-delà de l'atmosphère terrestre. Les vols spatiaux consistent à faire voler des moyens de transport appropriés dans et à travers l'espace extra-atmosphérique, et ces moyens de transport sont appelés des engins spatiaux. Les sciences spatiales sont un terme générique pour toutes les branches de la science qui s'intéressent à l'exploration de l'espace, aux vols spatiaux ou aux corps astronomiques dans l'espace extra-atmosphérique qui peuvent être atteints par des engins spatiaux, ce qui inclut la planétologie en particulier.
