Glossary term: Carte du ciel
Description: Une carte du ciel est une carte qui indique la position des objets astronomiques (étoiles, planètes, Soleil, Lune, etc.) dans le ciel à un moment donné.
Les cartes du ciel permettent aux astronomes de trouver l'emplacement des objets dans le ciel nocturne et peuvent être utilisées pour la navigation.
Les chercheurs en astronomie moderne établissent des cartes du ciel dans le cadre d'études astronomiques qui enregistrent une grande variété d'informations sur les objets qu'ils étudient.
Des cartes du ciel interactives destinées au grand public sont disponibles sous forme de programmes informatiques ou d'applications mobiles.
