Glossary term: Galaksi
Description: Galaksi adalah sistem bintang dan komponen materi lainnya seperti materi gelap, gas, dan debu yang terikat secara gravitasi, dan biasanya terpisah dari tetangganya sejauh ratusan ribu tahun cahaya. Galaksi memiliki bentuk dan ukuran yang berbeda-beda. Galaksi terkecil terdiri dari beberapa ribu bintang, sedangkan yang terbesar bisa terdiri dari puluhan triliun bintang. Penulisan "Galaksi" dengan huruf kapital di tengah kalimat umumnya merujuk pada galaksi tempat tinggal kita, Bimasakti, yang terdiri dari sekitar 100-400 miliar bintang.
