About Edward Gomez

Edward is an astronomer, educator and coder working for Las Cumbres Observatory, as the education director. In that role he has developed many successful educational resources, including Star In A Box, Ada's Adventures in Science and Serol's Cosmic Explorers. He is the manager of the Global Sky Partners programme, which supports high quality educational projects, using Las Cumbres Observatory's robotic telescope network. Edward co-founded astroEDU, a peer-review platform for astronomy education activities, has been involved with the IAU Office of Astronomy for Development since 2011 and is vice-president elect of IAU Division C, Education, Outreach and Heritage.
