The approach to Astronomy is essential in the Early Years of Elementary School, as it is present in our daily lives, it is perceived by the curious eyes of children who usually observe the sky and the stars visible during the day and night. The objective is to highlight children's literature as an important methodological resource in the teaching and learning of Astronomy, and to report some strategies developed for this stage of teaching. The qualitative approach allowed an analysis of some theoretical frameworks to realize a "state of knowledge". The results show that children's literature favors interdisciplinary work, enabling the student to construct knowledge with the pleasure of listening to stories, making discoveries and relating to what is observed daily.
