Glossary term: 气体

Description: 在物理学中,气体是一种物质状态,在这种状态下,分子或原子彼此松散地结合在一起,从而允许原子和分子以不同的速度持续而混乱地向四面八方运动。我们呼吸的空气就是氮气和氧气等气体的混合物。气体温度可由气体粒子运动的平均能量来度量。气体压强(例如施加在容器壁上的压强)主要是由是气体粒子撞击容器壁并反弹的效应所产生的。在天文学中,我们会遇到多种形式的气体,例如星际气体云、巨型分子云、星系际气体或行星大气层。天文学家所说的气体还包含等离子体(其中的原子被电离)——例如,他们把恒星称为“气体球”——以及在吸积盘中旋转的气体。
