Glossary term: 温室效应
Description: 温室效应是指由于诸如水蒸气、甲烷和二氧化碳等气体的排放,使大气变暖的现象。来自太阳的可见光到达行星表面后,以红外辐射的形式重新发射出去。温室气体将这些红外辐射困在大气中,无法逃逸到外太空,这使得行星比没有这些气体时温度更高。如果没有温室效应,地球的温度将比现在低几十摄氏度,远低于0摄氏度。然而,温室效应所导致的平衡温度对大气中温室气体的浓度非常敏感。
自19世纪工业革命以来,人类排放的温室气体导致了地球上的全球变暖,这是温室效应的结果。
在某些情况下,这种升温会导致大气中产生更多的温室气体,从而引发失控的温室效应。这种现象已经在金星的大气中发生。
