Glossary term: 铁陨石
Description: 铁陨石是含有大量铁和镍的陨石。它们被认为是小行星核心的一部分，密度很高，重量也很大。尽管铁陨石只占撞击地球表面的陨石总数的 5%，但在地球上发现的陨石中却几乎有 60% 是铁陨石。其中一个原因是它们更坚固，不像石陨石那样容易风化。
