Glossary term: 不规则星系
Description: 不规则星系是一种对称性很低或不对称的星系（其具有扭曲的形态或形状）。它们通常比螺旋星系和椭圆星系小，通常含有大量的恒星形成气体。大麦哲伦星云和小麦哲伦星云是不规则星系，距离我们的银河系相对较近（分别约为 16 万光年和 20 万光年），可以在地球南半球用肉眼观测到。
