Glossary term: 小行星族
Description: 小行星族是一组具有相似轨道元素的小行星：半长轴（与太阳的典型距离）、偏心率（与轨道形状有关的参数）和轨道倾角。小行星族的成员也可能具有相似的成分，即含有一定量的岩石材料、不同金属或水。人们认为这些小行星族的成员可能是过去较大小行星之间碰撞的残骸。
