Description: 光子（photon）一词来自希腊语 phōs，释义为光，与light同义并可互换使用。当天文学家提到光时，他们指的是从无线电波一直到伽马射线所有类型的电磁辐射。
光子是一种基本粒子，是电磁力的载体，被认为是最小的电磁能量波包（量子）。给定频率的子的能量与其频率成正比，与其波长成反比。
现代观点认为，光子不仅是一种粒子，也是一种波。在天文学中，光子是我们观测和测量宇宙及其所含天体各个方面的基础。
