Glossary term: 绝对零度

Description: 绝对零度是开尔文温标的零点,相当于摄氏零下 273.15 度和华氏零下 459.67 度。开尔文温标对零点的选择取决于基础物理学:对于一个经典系统,温度等于绝对零度对应于所有粒子都处于完全静止状态,每个粒子的动能都为零。而在现实世界中,量子理论的基本效应意味着这种完全静止的状态永远无法达到。

在描述一般系统及其进行热量和其他形式能量交换的热力学语言中,温度等于绝对零度的理想化系统是一个完全无法从中提取任何热量的系统。实际上,要使一个系统达到这种理想状态是不可能的。这就是所谓的热力学第三定律,也称为能斯特定理:我们可以无限接近绝对零度,但永远无法达到它。
