Description: 20 世紀初,理論物理學家意識到,每一種粒子都應該有一種相應的反粒子——一種質量相同,但性質完全相反,特別是電荷相反的粒子。幾年後,人們發現了電子的反粒子——正電子,其質量與電子相同,但電荷相反。對於某些中性粒子,如光子,其反粒子就是其自身。當粒子和相應的反粒子相遇時,它們會湮滅形成光子。反粒子構成反物質,而我們的宇宙似乎主要由物質而不是由反物質構成。而這一切之所以發生的細節,仍是一個正在研究的課題。
