Description: 恆星核心中的核聚變反應釋放出能量,最終從恆星的光球層輻射到太空中。有幾種方式可以將能量從恆星核心傳輸到光球層。其中,輻射區(又稱輻射區域或輻射帶)是恆星內部通過輻射方式將能量向外傳輸的區域。光子不斷地與原子核和電子散射,在此過程中損失部分能量,同時產生新的熱輻射光子。由於頻繁的散射,能量傳輸過程緩慢;在我們的太陽中,光子需要數千年才能穿過輻射區。
太陽的輻射區位於核心和對流區之間。質量更大的恆星核心本身是對流的,輻射區從對流核心延伸到恆星的光球層。而質量低於0.3倍太陽質量的恆星沒有輻射區,整個恆星為對流狀態。
