Description: 地軸與地球繞太陽運行的軌道並不垂直,而是傾斜 23.4 度。因此,在一天中的某個特定時間,太陽在天空中的視位置隨著一年四季變化。平均而言,當太陽在天空中的位置較高時,就會有更多的陽光照射到單位面積的地面上。在一年中,這導致了某些時間段更為溫暖或涼爽,這一現象在遠離地球赤道的地區更為明顯,這就是所謂的季節。北半球的四季與南半球的四季相反:當北半球最大程度地向著太陽傾斜時,就是北半球的夏季,也是南半球的冬季,此時南半球遠離太陽傾斜;反之亦然。地球上靠近赤道的許多地區的季節與溫帶和北極地區的夏冬模式不同。值得注意的是,每個季節的持續時間、開始和結束可能會受到文化習俗和時間段的影響。
