Description: 太陽常數是指距離太陽一個天文單位（地球到太陽的平均距離）處，垂直於太陽光線方向的單位面積上接收到的來自太陽的平均電磁輻射量（光能）。目前，它在真空（地球大氣層外）中約為每平方米 1361 瓦。雖然它不是一個物理常數，但在數百年的時間裡變化不到 0.2%。然而，地球的軌道是橢圓形的，因此在地球距離太陽的位置上，其流量密度會有7%的變化。隨著太陽的演化，它正在慢慢變得更亮，因此在數十億年的時間裡，這個數值會顯著增加。
