Description: 在天文學中,亮度是指天體發射的電磁輻射量,或是指我們從天體接收到的光量。
“亮度”一詞並不是一個正式的科學術語,但通常用來表示從天體接收到的電磁通量(接收器單位面積在單位時間內接收到的能量,單位:瓦/米2)。“本徵亮度”一詞通常指天體自身的光度(單位:瓦),而“表面亮度”一詞則用於呈延展分布的天體,是指接收器單位面積在單位時間內接收到的天體單位面積的能量(單位:瓦/米2/球面度2,或瓦/米2/弧秒2)。對亮度的這些不同度量,既可以在天體發射的整個電磁波譜上定義,也可以在電磁波譜的特定區域內定義。
出於歷史原因,天文學家使用所謂的星等系統來描述一個天體的亮度,這是一個對數系統,給亮度較高的恆星賦予較小的數值。
