Description: 自轉是物體繞一條假想軸(稱為自轉軸)的運動。當物體自轉時,其各個部分與自轉軸保持完全相同的距離。一般來說,恆星(包括太陽)、行星、衛星或小行星都會圍繞一個固定的軸旋轉。地球圍繞地軸旋轉,地軸是穿過地球南北兩極的假想軸。地球表面的每個觀察者都能看到夜空景象的變化,星星不斷從東邊地平線升起,沿著西邊地平線落下,這就是地球自轉的結果。太陽一天中的東昇西落也是地球自轉的結果。
