Description: Die Längengrade werden auch Meridiane genannt: Alle Punkte mit demselben Längengrad liegen auf demselben Meridian. Der Nullmeridian hat einen Längengrad von 0 Grad. Er verläuft durch Greenwich in London, Großbritannien, und wird auch als Greenwich-Meridian bezeichnet. Der Längengrad bei 180° liegt diesem Nullmeridian genau gegenüber und wird auch als Antimeridian bezeichnet. Er ist die Grundlage für die Datumsgrenze.
