Description: Der Sonnenfleckenzyklus ist der etwa 11-jährige Zyklus in der Anzahl von Sonnenflecken, Sonneneruptionen und anderen Formen der Aktivität auf der Sonne. Diese Aktivität wird durch das allgemeine Magnetfeld der Sonne erzeugt. Da dieses Magnetfeld alle elf Jahre zwischen Nord- und Südpol wechselt, dauert es ganze 22 Jahre, bis die Magnetpole der Sonne wieder ihre ursprüngliche Anordnung einnehmen.
