Glossary term: Nadir

Description: El nadir se define como el punto situado directamente debajo del observador. Es relativo a la posición del observador, ya que el nadir para una persona en Bogotá sería diferente del de una persona en Costa Rica o Ciudad del Cabo. Medido en ángulos, está a 90 grados por debajo del horizonte. El punto diametralmente opuesto al nadir se denomina cenit.
