Glossary term: Polo Celeste
Description: Los Polos Norte y Sur celestes corresponden a los puntos de intersección de la esfera celeste con el eje de rotación de la Tierra.
En el Polo Norte de la Tierra, el Polo Norte celeste está siempre directamente encima y en el Polo Sur de la Tierra, el Polo Sur celeste está siempre directamente encima. Debido a la rotación de la Tierra, el cielo en el hemisferio norte parece girar alrededor del Polo Norte celeste y en el hemisferio sur el cielo parece girar alrededor del Polo Sur celeste. El Polo Norte celeste tiene una declinación de +90 grados y el Polo Sur celeste tiene una declinación de -90 grados.
