COVID-19 pandemic has changed our understanding of promoting popular science. My main focus would be related to STEAM Innovation and Interactive Learning, such as Astro-Music (Integrating Science and Art) and User-Centered Education.

Biography:

My background is in Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy as well as Physics and Astronomy Education Research (PER/AER). I completed my MSc (Masters of Science, Science Education) at the University of Witwatersrand with my research focus in Astronomy Education Research. My current PhD research thesis (University of Cape Town) is primarily focused on Astronomy Education Research (AER), where I am looking at university students' engagements with astronomical scales (in particular size and distance) as well as spatial awareness. Being in a country where astronomy is growing rapidly, it is important to find ways in which we can make the astronomy curricula and research accessible to students beyond our borders.
