Glossary term: 核裂变

Description: 核裂变是重元素的原子核分裂成两个较轻原子核的过程。剩余物质的质量小于原始原子核的质量,而减少的质量则以能量的形式释放出来。

核裂变产生的两个较轻原子核本身通常具有放射性,可通过放射性衰变释放更多能量。
