Description: 电子是一种较轻的基本粒子,带有一个单位的负电荷。我们周围的所有物质都是由原子组成的,而所有原子都具有相同的基本结构:一个微小而致密的原子核,包含几乎所有原子的质量,周围则环绕着电子。电子被概念化为围绕原子核存在于同心壳层中,这些壳层的结构决定了原子与其他原子结合形成分子的方式,这是化学的物理基础。在白矮星中,电子的量子特性提供了必要的压力,防止这些恒星残骸在自身引力下坍缩。
