Glossary term: 恒星核心
Description: 恒星核心是恒星的中心区域。对于主序星（如太阳），核心是核聚变的发生地，也是恒星的能量来源。在主序星的核心中，氢原子通过聚变形成氦。而在诸如巨星等演化较晚的恒星中，核心可能不再进行核聚变，或者以氦等其他元素作为核聚变的燃料。在这些演化较晚的恒星中，氢聚变（以及其他核聚变过程）可能发生在核心周围的壳层中。
