Description: 比鄰星也被稱為半人馬座阿爾法C星，是距離太陽最近的恆星，距離為4.24光年（1.302秒差距），約40萬億公里。它是一顆紅矮星，大小和質量都比太陽小，因此其太暗以至於肉眼無法觀測到。截至目前，已確認比鄰星有一顆行星圍繞其運行，命名為比鄰星b，其軌道位於恆星的所謂宜居帶內。此外，還有兩顆候選行星比鄰星c和比鄰星d，但尚未被確認。比鄰星與半人馬座阿爾法A星和半人馬座阿爾法B星一起構成了半人馬座阿爾法星系統，一個由三顆引力束縛的恆星組成的系統。
