Description: Radiowellen sind der Teil des elektromagnetischen Spektrums mit der größten Wellenlänge, der niedrigsten Frequenz und der geringsten Energie. Sie reichen von einer kürzesten Wellenlänge von etwa 1 Millimeter und einer Frequenz von 300 Gigahertz bis hin zu vielen Kilometern Wellenlänge und Megahertz Frequenz. Unsere Atmosphäre ist für den größten Teil dieses Wellenbereichs transparent, sodass Radioteleskope auf der Erdoberfläche benutzt werden können, welche Radiowellen aus dem Weltraum empfangen.
