Description: Eine Scheibe ist ein abgeflachtes System aus Materie, das sich in einer Ebene liegend kreisförmig um einen gemeinsamen Mittelpunkt bewegt. Das Material in einer Scheibe kann aus vielen verschiedenen Dingen wie Gas, Staub oder sogar Sternen bestehen. Beispiele sind Akkretionsscheiben um Protosterne, protoplanetare Scheiben um sehr junge Sterne oder junge stellare Objekte, Akkretionsscheiben um aktive galaktische Kerne und galaktische Scheiben.
