I am a professor of astronomy at the Department of Physics, University of Helsinki, Finland and research professor at the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute FGI, National Land Survey of Finland. My research interests are within planetary-system objects, from dust particles to asteroids, comets, and planets. Of particular interest to me are light scattering problems related to the characterization of these objects, including various forward and inverse problems. I am currently involved in the Gaia, BepiColombo, Hera, and Comet Interceptor space missions, as well as in the activities with the Nordic Optical telescope.
