The New Light Pollution Awareness Resource Page in Multiple Languages

Published: 11th July 2024 09:00 (UTC)

We are happy to announce the launch of our new resource page dedicated to light pollution awareness , now available on our website. Light pollution, caused by excessive or misdirected artificial light from human activity, poses a significant threat to the environment, wildlife, and human health, as well as being a waste of energy and resources. Additionally, it severely impacts astronomical observations, obscuring our view of the night sky and hindering scientific research and stargazing activities. The educational resources on this new page aim to educate and empower communities worldwide to take action against this growing issue.

The light pollution awareness resource page features a wide array of educational materials, including activities, videos, websites, and more, available in multiple languages to ensure accessibility for a global audience.

This collection of resources has been made possible thanks to the contributions of many individuals from our network. It is designed to be a continuously growing collection of educational resources, and we welcome further contributions. If you are interested in contributing, please contact us at oaeatastro4edu.org.
