Description: Der Nadir ist definiert als der Punkt direkt unter dem Beobachter. Er ist relativ zum Standort des Beobachters: Der Nadir ist für eine Person in London ein anderer ist als für eine Person in Peking oder Kapstadt. Gemessen in Winkeln beträgt der Nadir 90 Grad vom Horizont. Das Gegenteil des Nadirs wird als Zenit bezeichnet.
