Glossary term: Nadir

Description: Le nadir est défini comme le point situé directement sous l'observateur. Il est relatif à la position de l'observateur, puisque le nadir d'une personne à Londres sera différent de celui d'une personne à Pékin ou au Cap. Mesuré en angles, il se situe à 90 degrés de l'horizon. L'opposé du nadir est appelé le zénith.
