Frances McCarthy is the Head of Education and Outreach at Blackrock Castle Observatory. The BCO opened in 2007 and presently houses a robotic observatory alongside an interactive science centre.

We have a suite of powerful robotic research grade telescopes in a UNESCO Starlight Reserve area in southern Spain, in order to provide superb resources for teachers, students and researchers. My participation (including published papers) in Astronomy Education includes carrying out an astronomy pilot programmes on robotic telescopes for schools for the Department of Education.

Dr. Oisin Creaner is a computational astrophysicist who has worked as a lecturer and researcher at several institutions around the globe, including Berkeley Lab in the USA. He is an enthusiastic outreach speaker and advocate for early career researchers. His current research at Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies is to streamline the use of a new kind of camera called an "MKID."
