Mount Meru Astronomical Observatory
Elineema Nassari is a Tanzanian educator and astronomer who serves as the Director of the Mt. Meru Astronomical Observatory (MMAO) in Arusha. He holds a Bachelor of Education from Tumaini University Makumira and has pursued a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Mwenge Catholic University. With over fourteen years of teaching experience, Nassari is deeply committed to promoting science and astronomy education in Tanzania, coordinating astronomy clubs in several secondary and primary schools. His work focuses on integrating astronomy into the curriculum, mentoring young learners, and expanding outreach programs through MMAO. Passionate about science education and public engagement, Nassari collaborates internationally to strengthen astronomy education and inspire curiosity about the universe among Tanzanian students.
