Under the auspices of the OAE Node France-CY (OAENF-CY) and the Tunisian Society for Astronomy (SAT), the organisation of this conference was a joint effort of many individuals, members of associations and research institutes and NAECs. The conference was hosted by the French high school Pierre Mendès France and by the "Institut Régional de Formation (IRF) zone Maghreb-Est".

45 participants from 10 French-speaking countries attended the conference, thanks to the financial support of many different institutions in education and in astronomy. The participants included researchers in astronomy, in didactics of mathematics and physics, teachers in science and mathematics. Eight National Astronomy Education Coordinators (NAECs) were present.

The conference focused on activities that were lived and then discussed. A total of 22 workshops were held. The next step is the creation of French AstroEdu activities based on those workshops.

We are moving towards the creation of an active French-speaking community!
