The TTP, One Sky, Many Senses, was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Dec 21–22 2025 by NAEC-Ethiopia, Ethiopian Space Science Society (ESSS), with support from OAE. The workshop trained teachers in inclusive astronomy education through hands-on activities adapted for visually and hearing-impaired learners. Participants explored the Solar System, Earth–Moon system, craters, spectroscopy, solar observations, angular measurements, and the scale of the Universe using tactile models and low-cost materials. Interactive sessions on accessibility and astronomy sonification complemented the practical training. The program strengthened teachers’ capacity to deliver engaging, inclusive astronomy education in Ethiopia.
Biography:
Nebiyu is an Astrophysicist, Chair of NAEC–OAE Ethiopia , and Science Communicator. He holds MSc degrees in Astronomy and Astrophysics and Communication Engineering. As Ethiopia’s National Astronomy Education Coordinator under the International Astronomical Union (IAU) Office of Astronomy for Education (OAE), he leads initiatives that promote astronomy education, teacher training, and public outreach. His interests include radio astronomy, astrophysics, science communication, and inclusive STEM education. Through research, workshops, and international collaborations, he works to strengthen astronomy capacity in Ethiopia and East Africa while inspiring students, educators, and the public to engage with space science
