(NAEC Ghana / PRAGSAC / EduSpots)
Astronomy education for exceptional learners remains a significant challenge worldwide. In Ghana, schools for blind and deaf learners have historically had limited access to astronomy education. To address this gap, we conducted 2 TTP teacher training workshops (2024 and 2026) for science teachers from schools for the blind and deaf across Ghana. During the workshops, participants explored essential astronomy topics, complemented by inclusive, hands-on astronomy activities using tactile models made from simple materials, and multi-sensory approaches. This presentation shares insights gained from participant feedback, challenges encountered, and evaluation results, demonstrating the potential of targeted teacher training to promote equity, accessibility, and inclusion in astronomy education
