Glossary term: Unión Astronómica Internacional

Description: La Unión Astronómica Internacional (UAI) es una asociación de astrónomos profesionales de todo el mundo que actualmente trabajan en algún ámbito de la investigación, la educación o la divulgación de la astronomía. Se fundó en 1919 y se dedica a desarrollar actividades de divulgación y educación dirigidas al público, además de promover la investigación astronómica activa a través de sus reuniones científicas.
