Description: Diurno se refere a diário. Na Terra, é o movimento do céu devido à rotação diária da Terra. As estrelas e outros corpos celestes parecem se mover de leste para oeste. O eixo desse movimento aparente coincide com o eixo de rotação da Terra. Um círculo diurno é o caminho que uma estrela percorre quando a esfera celeste a leva pelo céu. Eles podem ser vistos em fotografias de longa exposição do céu noturno como rastros de estrelas, na forma de arcos ou semicírculos, centrados nos polos celestes norte e sul. Um observador em outro planeta veria as estrelas e outros corpos celestes percorrerem caminhos diferentes no céu devido ao eixo de rotação e ao período diferentes do planeta em comparação com a Terra.
