This study investigates how primary students (N=100, Grades 3–5) navigate astronomy concepts using the multi-modal "superstructures.io" platform. Organized under a post-hoc representation interpretive framework, we track performance variation across verbal, relational, explanatory, and spatial tasks. Results show selective moderate associations between argumentative discourse and structural physical justifications. However, guided coordinate-based map navigation operates independently from logical-linguistic tasks , warning educators not to treat fluid map reading as proof of deep physical mastery. Real-time telemetry indexes task friction to automate targeted classroom scaffolding.

Masoom Jethwa is an educational researcher and practitioner specializing in discipline-based science education and interactive learning frameworks. Their work focuses on transforming primary astronomy pedagogy by developing multi-modal assessment tools that move away from rote recall toward active, system-level inquiry. Based in Ahmedabad, India, their current initiatives explore how real-time interface telemetry and collaborative digital platforms can map student reasoning structures and provide teachers with targeted orchestration support.
