Tomáš Gráf
(Silesian University in Opava)
Five years after its launch, Unisphere, the digital planetarium of the Silesian University in Opava, has become a unique example of how immersive technologies can support both education and media production. As a teaching facility, science communication hub, and fulldome studio, it connects academic learning with creative practice.
This presentation reviews five years of operation, building on the earlier report “Unisphere after Three Years of Operation.” It summarizes developments in technical management, interdisciplinary teaching, and public engagement, with particular focus on the Unisphere Production Studio, where students and educators create original fulldome productions showcased at national and international festivals.
