Description: القطر الزاوي لجسم ما هو قطره المرئي من موقع مُحدَّد مُقاساً كزاوية. يُستخدم القطر الزاوي في علم الفلك كأحد طرق التعبير عن حجم الأجرام السماوية في السماء. يزداد القطر الزاوي مع زيادة الحجم المادي للجسم ويقل عندما يكون الجسم بعيداً. على سبيل المثال، يبلغ القطر الزاوي لكل من القمر والشمس حوالي نصف درجة عند النظر إليهما من الأرض. فالقمر أصغر بحوالي 400 مرة من الشمس لكنه يبدو بالحجم نفسه (حوالي نصف درجة عرضاً)، لأن الشمس تبعد حوالي 400 مرة.
