Description: Als Weltraum werden alle Regionen in unserem Universum bezeichnet, die jenseits der Erdatmosphäre liegen. Die Raumfahrt möchte mit geeigneten Transportmitteln in und durch den Weltraum fliegen: Solche Transportmittel werden als Raumfahrzeuge bezeichnet. "Weltraumwissenschaften" ist ein Oberbegriff für alle Bereiche der Wissenschaft, die sich mit der Erforschung des Weltraums, der Raumfahrt oder mit astronomischen Körpern im Weltraum, die mit Raumfahrzeugen erreicht werden können, befassen. Zu den Weltraumwissenschaften gehören auch die Astronomie und Planetologie.
