Glossarbegriffe: Dunkle Energie

Description: Dunkle Energie wird als Ursache für die beschleunigte Ausdehnung des Universums vorgeschlagen, die in den letzten sechs Milliarden Jahren auf den größten Skalen des Universums stattgefunden hat. Dunkle Energie wird oft als eine der Schwerkraft entgegengesetzter "Kraft" beschrieben. Die Auswirkungen der Dunklen Energie werden aus indirekten Beobachtungen und Messungen von Supernovae des Typs Ia, der kosmischen Mikrowellenhintergrundstrahlung (CMB), Galaxienhaufen, Gravitationslinsen und baryonischen akustischen Oszillationen abgeleitet. Diese indirekten Beobachtungen und Messungen scheinen darauf hinzudeuten, dass die Dunkle Energie etwas mehr als 70 % der Zusammensetzung des Universums ausmacht. Dennoch gibt es viel Forschung und Diskussionen über die Natur der Dunklen Energie: Unklar ist, ob es verschiedene Arten von Dunkler Energie gibt, ob sich die Dunkle Energie im Laufe der Entwicklung des Universums verändert und ob und welche Alternativen es zur Dunklen Energie gibt.
