Glossary term: Astronomía de rayos cósmicos

Description: Esta rama de la astronomía se dedica al estudio de las fuentes de partículas cargadas de alta energía en el Universo. Esto permite a los astrónomos estudiar las propiedades de dichas fuentes, así como otros aspectos relacionados, como los campos magnéticos en el Universo. Los rayos cósmicos pueden observarse mediante métodos similares a los que se utilizan en la física de partículas, o bien buscando los destellos de rayos gamma que acompañan a las partículas cargadas que se desplazan a gran velocidad a través de la atmósfera.
