Description: Um disco é um sistema achatado de matéria que se encontra em movimento circular no mesmo plano orbital em torno de um centro comum. O material num disco pode ser diferentes naturezas, como gás, poeira ou até mesmo estrelas. Exemplos incluem discos de acreção em torno de protoestrelas, discos protoplanetários em torno de objetos estelares jovens, discos de acreção em torno de núcleos galácticos ativos e discos galácticos.
